"Timothy J. Cox has carved a niche in the independent theater community as an always reliable character actor." From an interview with Hannah Marie Ellison of BlogCritics.com
Character actor Timothy J. Cox's acting career began as an excuse to get out of Math class. When the young actor was in the 8th grade in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, he auditioned and won the lead role in the school play, a musical version of the O'Henry story The Gift of the Magi titled Rags to Riches. Initially, he auditioned just to get out of class, as auditions and rehearsals were taking place during the school day.
To his surprise, he was cast in the lead role and he has been an actor everyday since, appearing in roles large and small, in everything from Shakespeare to Neil Simon.
